You have a message the public needs to hear. Converso puts it directly in their ears.
Press releases reach journalists. Advertising reaches eyeballs. Telephone town halls reach people — live, two-way, and on the record. Converso manages multi-event advocacy campaigns, public consultation series, and physician-led community forums for Canada's leading healthcare associations, governments, and professional organizations.
Traditional media gets your message out. Only direct engagement brings the public in.
Press releases get filtered by editors. Digital advertising gets scrolled past. Even earned media reaches an audience of passive readers — not engaged citizens who have had a chance to ask a question and hear a physician, an expert, or an elected official answer it live. Converso's telephone town hall platform creates the direct connection that no other channel can replicate — at the scale advocacy campaigns require.
Not a media campaign. A direct conversation at scale.
Converso is not an advertising agency and not a digital marketing platform. We are a managed service that puts your spokesperson — a physician, a Minister, an executive director — on a live, two-way telephone call with tens of thousands of community members at a time, in their homes, on their phones, at a time you choose. Every question captured. Every response on record. Every event documented for stakeholders, media, and decision-makers who need to know the public was genuinely engaged.
Every type of public engagement campaign, fully managed.
From a single high-profile advocacy forum to a multi-city, multi-event consultation series — Converso handles every detail so your team focuses on the message, not the logistics.
Public Advocacy Town Halls
Live, outward-facing telephone town halls where your spokesperson makes the case directly to community members — not through media intermediaries. Up to 30,000+ households dialed per event. Live Q&A. Polling. Full post-event documentation for stakeholders and policymakers.
Stakeholder Consultation Series
Structured multi-event consultations with defined stakeholder groups — healthcare professionals, community leaders, municipal residents, sector representatives. Each event documented and reported. The full series tells a coherent engagement story your organization can share publicly.
Multi-Event Campaigns
A coordinated series of events — same message, different communities — managed as a single campaign. Consistent production quality, unified reporting, and a cumulative reach that transforms a single advocacy position into a province-wide or national conversation.
Physician & Expert-Led Forums
Credibility is everything in advocacy. Converso manages physician-led, expert-led, and executive-led public forums where the person making the case is the most trusted voice in the room. Live Q&A from community members. Real answers. Real conversations. No script-filtered talking points.
Community Outreach
High-volume telephone outreach to defined geographic or demographic audiences — neighbourhood by neighbourhood, riding by riding, or across an entire province. Robocall, IVR, SMS, and email channels coordinated through a single managed campaign. Multilingual outreach available.
Polling & Issue Tracking
In-session IVR polling during town halls, post-event surveys, and longitudinal issue tracking across a multi-event campaign. Real-time results during the event. Consolidated data across the series. The evidence base your advocacy needs to make its case to decision-makers.
Ontario Medical Association — "Stop the Crisis": 10 physician-led public town halls, 300,000 people reached
The Ontario Medical Association represents Ontario's physicians. When they needed to bring the healthcare system crisis directly to the communities where their doctors practise — not as a press release, not as a political statement, but as a live, two-way conversation between physicians and patients — they called Converso.
The "Stop the Crisis" campaign ran a series of 10 outward-facing public town halls. Each event targeted 30,000 community members in a specific Ontario riding or region. Local physicians led the conversation — explaining wait times, system pressures, and the real impact on patient care — and took live questions from the community members who called in or stayed on the line.
Across the full campaign, 300,000 phone numbers were reached. The events generated documented public engagement that the OMA could bring directly to government decision-makers as evidence of community awareness and concern. Not a survey. Not a petition. A live, recorded, two-way conversation — at scale.
- ✓No algorithm between your message and the audience
- ✓Live, two-way — citizens ask real questions and get real answers
- ✓22+ minute average engagement time per participant
- ✓Every interaction documented — defensible evidence for decision-makers
- ✓Physician or expert as lead voice — maximum credibility
Government of Alberta — 21 annual budget consultation town halls, 285,236 participants
Public consultation on a provincial budget is a statutory obligation — but it's also an advocacy challenge. How do you make fiscal policy real to 4.5 million Albertans, take their questions seriously, and demonstrate that engagement happened? You put the Finance Minister on a live telephone town hall and dial every riding in the province.
Since 2016, Converso has managed the Government of Alberta's annual budget telephone town hall consultation series — the largest ongoing public engagement program of its kind in Canada. Each event reaches a specific region of Alberta: 180,000 dials per event, live Q&A with cabinet ministers, real-time IVR polling on budget priorities, and post-event reporting delivered to the Public Affairs Bureau within days.
The 21-event budget consultation series has engaged 285,236 Albertans, produced 3,940 questions for government, and generated a documented record of public input that informed real budget decisions. It is not a consultation process that happens on paper — it is a live, two-way conversation that happens by phone, at scale, year after year.
The Government of Alberta renewed Converso as Vendor of Record in 2020 and again in 2024 — extending the relationship through 2028.
Campaign planning: Regions scoped, phone lists sourced, event calendar built around the budget cycle. Ministers briefed, scripts approved, poll questions developed with the Public Affairs Bureau.
Pre-event outreach: Robocall and SMS announcement to every household in the target region — 180,000 dials per event — with date, time, and toll-free dial-in information.
Live event: Cabinet minister as host, Converso producer managing the floor, live operators screening questions, IVR polling on budget priorities in real time.
Post-event report: Full attendance data, question themes, poll results, and verbatim transcript delivered within days. Ready for cabinet review and public release.
Plan your campaign →Canada's leading advocacy organizations trust Converso to make their case to the public.
Advocacy campaigns live or die on credibility. Organizations that choose Converso get more than an event — they get documented proof of public engagement that decision-makers, media, and stakeholders can verify.
"Converso seamlessly delivered the communications outcomes required by Albertans. Our project was complex with many interrelated and ever-changing pieces of information to manage. There was a lot on the line. We were better off for having used Converso and would recommend them to anyone."
"I have had experience working with Converso for more than seven years on numerous projects. I have used their services during times of urgency and experienced firsthand their ability to adjust, pivot and execute professional services regardless of the changing details or timelines. They have been a valued engagement partner and I can attest to their ability to deliver outstanding engagement services."
"The ability to put a physician directly on a live call with tens of thousands of community members — not through a media filter, but in a real two-way conversation — is something no other engagement format can replicate at this scale. Converso delivered every event in the series, on time and on message."
